Foot

Slipping the first stitch of every row, work even in stockinette stitch until foot measures 7 (71⁄2, 8)" from back of heel, or about 2" shorter than desired length, ending with a WS row.

Change to reverse stockinette stitch and work 3 rows.

CC Row (WS) Slip 1, join CC and k46 (50, 54), leaving last stitch unworked; cut CC then slip all stitches back to left-hand needle.

Next Row (WS) With MC, slip 1, knit to end.

For sizes S and L only:

Work 2 rows even.

For size M only:

Next Row (RS) Slip 1, p10, p2tog, [p11, p2tog] twice, p11, ssp — 48 stitches.

Next Row Slip 1, knit to end.
